Who are we?

Purple Phoenix Pottery is a Community Interest Company that provides therapeutic pottery workshops in a safe and supportive environment, for people to help improve their mental health and well-being, as well as creating a social environment for people to connect with like-minded individuals who have a shared interest in ceramics.

Why do we do it?

We cater to all skill levels and abilities and have over 20+ years of experience between us. The inspiration came from seeing first-hand the positive effects ceramics can have on people’s mental health and well-being. We wanted to take that inspiration and allow more people to be able to benefit from pottery and the social aspect of being involved in the workshops.

What else do we do?

We also accept commissions to create bespoke pieces of pottery, either from individuals or businesses. Some of the pottery we have created is available to view and purchase from within our premises. Where are we?

We are located within the Moorclose Community Centre in Workington, Cumbria, CA14 3SE. Anybody is welcome to pop along and visit us for a cuppa and a chat, and to see what we can offer.
